If you are in the general area of Kammanahalli and are looking for a quick bite of South Indian food, ignore all the Darshani joints and head over to Filter Coffee. Though a lot of folks land up here for a quick hot filter coffee or two, their food is also quite good.
The restaurant has an open kitchen with seating around the cooking area, resembling a Japanese-style live counter. Since the front of the restaurant faces the main road, it can get a little noisy in here.
The service is generally decent, though they tend to take a little while if they are full up.
What do I recommend?
If you’ve going for a quick bite, try their Podi Dosa & Vada. If you prefer something less filling you must order some of their Onion and Chilli Bajjis – piping hot, crispy and well seasoned. Perfect for a rainy day with some strong filter coffee.
If you are going during lunch, try out their lunch meals which are quite a feast.
