It’s tough being a parent, not knowing if we’re bringing up our kids right. If we’re teaching them right and allowing them to attain their full potential. Keeping them happy is a full time job for which you don’t get time at all if we don’t get your work-parenting balance right.
As parents we’re not alone. Here are some words of wisdom from parents who’ve been there and done that.
Your kids require you most of all to love them for who they are, not to spend your whole time trying to correct them. – Bill Ayers
Your children need your presence more than your presents. – Jesse Jackson
We spend the first 12 months of our children’s lives teaching them to walk and talk and the next 12 months teaching them to sit down and shut up. – Phyllis Diller
Don’t worry that children never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you. – Robert Fulghum
Never do for a child what he is capable of doing for himself. – Elizabeth Hainstock
Everybody knows how to raise children, except the people who have them. – P. J. O’Rourke
We are apt to forget that children watch examples better than they listen to preaching. ~ Roy L. Smith

Where parents do too much for their children, the children will not do much for themselves. ~ Elbert Hubbard
